First time bowling in many years. Very helpful staff getting setup to bowl for a couple of hours. Very fun way to spend an afternoon. It may not look like much from outside. Don't let that put your family or group off from bowling a few frames. One recommendation: walk in, rent the shoes (unless you already have bowling shoes), & pay by the game. If you reserve a lane through the website you'll be spending more. We'll definitely be back!
I hadn't been here in almost 10 years but I'm glad I stopped in. The alley is clean, easy to navigate and they've really updated the scoring table and overhead screens. It was about noon on a Saturday and this may become my regular Saturday activity.
Really friendly staff and a great atmosphere all around, whether you're in a weekly league or bringing your kids in for a few weekend games. I bowled my first strike here 30 years ago, and my kids each did the same in 2023. Feels great to support a mainstay of the Burke area.
The staff and managers are great. I have bowled league here for the last few years and never have to worry about un-oiled lanes or being sat next to retail customers with no bowling etiquette. Compared to the other Bowl America/Bowlero centers in the area, Burke could use some upgrading. For one, I have no idea why there is not a bigger kitchen/full bar. Located in a residential neighborhood with no bar within 3 miles = cash cow. It's basic economics. Pair that with the amount of action and people that the leagues are starting to attract, the only explanation that I could come up with is that Corporate and the District managers hate filling out paperwork for the proper licensing and hate the sight of money? All in all, Burke is the center to bowl at if you are looking for an old school league experience with knowledgeable staff and committed managers.
I had a good time bowling one game with a bunch of my friends. Got my 2nd Turkey here at Bowl America. I like how its only 5 min drive from my home. The bowling alley was clean and not too busy. They have a fair amount of arcade games. It wasn't cheap for 2 lanes and a bunch of people but I hope they will partner with groupons in the future.
